Mathew Bourne’s Nutcracker

This trip was open to all girls interested in taking dance for GCSE. This gave us a taste of the style of dancing we would be doing in Year 10 if we did decide to take dance.

Mathew Bourne’s take on The Nutcracker was very different and contemporary – the style we would study and use for dance GCSE. It was open to all who were interested because this is one of the professional works that is studied on the course.

We all enjoyed an insight into professional contemporary work and a twist on a classical, well known ballet. The story is the same however with a modern twist that makes it exciting and interesting.
