The team were successfully awarded £350 towards their project at Envision’s ‘Pitch for Challenge’ event and received mentoring from Life marketing agency. On the day the Dragons were very impressed with the team’s idea. In March, Planet People successfully ran a planting session with over 80 reception students at Bournville Infant School. The reception students planted seeds such as tomatoes, cucumbers and peas. The children enjoyed planting the seeds and learning about planting. In June the team is planning to run a few more sessions at the school, where they will be creating a garden. They have made community links with Bournville Gardening Centre and they have been in contact with B&Q to provide them with any donations. The team would like to ensure the gardening club will be maintained in order to create a sustainable project, therefore they intend to invest further money into the gardening club.
