Performance table news – January 2013
We were very pleased to be placed 3rd in the country in the recently published Department for Education performance tables in 2012 for GCSE results.
It should be recognised that these results only reflect one particular measure of the success of a school. In this instance the average point score across all GCSEs taken.
In the A level performance tables the school was placed 38th (based on the total A/AS points per pupil). Only 13% of school’s nationally had 25% or more students who had achieved 3 A levels at AAB in the “facilitating” subjects which are favoured by 24 Russell Group of some of the leading British universities. 30% of our students achieved this measure in subjects which include Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History and Languages.
