As a school we are very proud to be able to be able to display a wide range of logos which represent our membership of a range of organisations and prestigious awards and accolades we have been successful in gaining in the last few years.

Arts Council England’s National Award

This is the highest level of the Arts Council England’s national award in recognition of the school’s commitment to, and excellence in, arts education.

Cultural Diversity Quality Standard at Gold level

The school is one was pleased to be awarded the Cultural Diversity Quality Standard at Gold level.

This award was introduced by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust to recognise and celebrate the excellent work done by schools to promote cultural diversity, race equality and opportunities for all students. The Quality Standard was created with a number of head teachers from schools around the UK and a variety of key national bodies.

The King Edward’s Consortium

The King Edward’s Consortium is a recommending body of the Training and Development Agency.

Training secondary teachers in 18 secondary schools in the Birmingham area, with the lead school being King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls.

Full International School Award

We are pleased to hold the Full International School Award. This is in recognition of the school’s commitment of the work of our staff and students with pupils and staff in different parts of the world. This is accredited through the British Council.

National Professional Qualification for Headship

The National Professional Qualification for Headship is the mandatory qualification for headship. As a National College member, the school can take part in national and regional events on a range of topical themes, and meet and learn from other members and educational experts face to face.

The Associate Schools and Colleges Scheme

The Associate Schools and Colleges scheme is a UK network of enthusiastic teachers who share their experience and work in order to help promote excellence in science and mathematics teaching.

Specialist Schools Programme

Language College

Language Colleges were first introduced in 1995 as part of the Specialist Schools Programme in the UK.

The system enables secondary schools such as King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls to specialise and be recognised for its proficiency in certain fields, in this case, modern foreign language.

Language Colleges are also part of the National Languages Strategy, which promotes the learning of foreign languages within the UK.

Mathematics and Computing

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls has been a specialist school for Mathematics and Computing since September 2005.

Since gaining specialist status we have developed stronger links with sponsors, business, employers, further and higher education institutions and other organisations related to maths and computing and developed characteristics in the school which signal its specialist ethos and identity and which are reflected in the school’s mission and objectives.
