The History
Department at Camp Hill aims to provide students with the skills
necessary to understand past events and their effect on the world
we live in today.
We aim to provide our students with sound conceptual understanding
and the vital skills of historical analysis, handling evidence and
communicating with others. Pupils experience a wide range of teaching
and learning styles so that they can gain a sense of enjoyment in
this fascinating subject.

which includes Henry VIII, the Religious Reformation, The Civil
War and in the summer term we move to our World study to look
at the Black People of the Americas. |

The Industrial Revolution followed by the
two world wars. |

Modern World History. |
| AS/A2 |
Liberal Democracy and Totalitarian States
in which we examine Stalinist USSR, Nazi Germany, and Fascist
Italy. In contrast we consider the emergence and development
of democratic ideals within the context of France 1789 –
1906 and Britain 1832 -1918. |

of audio-visual equipment including computers.
