Congratulations go to all those who took external examinations in the summer.
Last Year’s Year 9 have achieved excellent results in Maths and Science and we are still awaiting the final results in English following on from the well publicised marking difficulties experienced over the summer.
Year 10 are also to be congratulated on their GCSE results.
Year 11 (now Year 12) achieved our best ever GCSE results with over 80% of grades at A* and A and 51% of grades at A*. A quarter of the year group achieved 11.5 A* or more and every girl got at least one A grade.
Year 12 (now Year 13) achieved pleasing AS results.
The Year 13 girls who have just left achieved outstanding results—they were very close to our highest ever results—with over 85% of grades at A and B with 61% of results at grade A. Almost a quarter of students achieved 4A’s or above.
Vino Manavisagam was placed in the top ten nationally for AS Further Maths and in the top five for Chemistry.
Sarah Hopkins came in the top five for Religious Studies.
Heather Rose and Claire Fooks were amongst the top ten who achieved the highest overall marks in Geography.
Year 13 girls were successful in gaining places at a range of universities; almost a quarter will be entering medical-related courses; there are a wide range of other choices including law, dance, history, English, sciences to name but a few.
