french exchange

On a chilly evening in January, 15 Camp Hill pupils in years 10 to 12 gave a warm welcome to their French exchange partners, from our French partner school, the Lycée Virlogeux , in Riom. During their week’s stay in Birmingham, the French pupils had the chance to sample education à la Camp Hill by attending lessons with their partners, which was a rewarding experience for all. The French pupils also enjoyed days out in Birmingham, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, but most of all they appreciated the chance to experience family life in England.

Many friendships were formed that week and both French and English pupils enjoyed putting their linguistic skills to the test. Camp Hill girls are now looking forward to discovering the delights of the Auvergne in September. The snow was an unexpected addition to the trip this year, and I would like to thank all parents, not only for their support of the exchange, but also for braving the icy conditions early in the morning, to drop off the pupils for their return journey.
