A group of a dozen Year 12 students have been eager to develop their skills of self management, team working,
problem solving, communication and literacy, business and customer awareness, application of numeracy and
information technology through a business-related project.
The team are working with GVA Grimley, International Property Advisors based in Brindley Place, to review
their current practices regarding car parking and to make recommendations for smarter travel choices which might
have a lesser impact on the environment. They are plotting the post code data for the employees (anonymised),
investigating alternative car parking arrangements, train season ticket prices and car sharing routes. The girls will
feed back to GVA Grimley staff in March.
