Intermediate Mathematical Challenge

The Intermediate Mathematical Challenge took place in February and the results were very pleasing. We had three qualifiers for the Olympiad and eleven for the Kangaroo follow-on round, four of whom were placed in the top 25% nationally and gained merits. Eva Morton in Year 9 was placed in the top 100 nationally in the Cayley Olympiad and was awarded a bronze medal by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust. Chuyi Yang in Year 10 went one better in the Hamilton Olympiad, finishing 26th nationally and being awarded a silver medal and a book prize by the self-same UKMT.

Congratulations to all who took part!

Mr I Bettison
