Tradition and Academic Excellence
King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls has a reputation for
academic excellence and a tradition of involvement with the local
community.
Our Sixth Form students are from a range of backgrounds from across
the city and beyond. They are encouraged to fulfil their potential
and to achieve their goals and career aspirations.
The excellent working relationship between Sixth formers and staff
provides a stimulating and enjoyable environment in which to learn
and develop. Our girls recognise that the Sixth Form provides a
strong educational and social foundation from which they can take
their next steps.

| Quote unquote: what our girls say |
| "I have been at Camp Hill all the way
through so I have all my friends here in the sixth form. There
is such a friendly atmosphere. I think it is better than a sixth
form college because they look after you here. The teachers
are always there for you and are accessible. |
| “I'm involved in activities here such
as the Wind Band and Flute Choir, which I can also do during
some of my 'frees'. I also did my Duke of Edinburgh this year
and I'm helping out by teaching Disney songs to lower years
at the moment for the House Festival."A lot of work we
do as sixth formers is independent. There is set work but then
there is the extra work you do of your own accord. We are treated
like adults with our very own facilities in the sixth form block.
I feel this kind of independence sets me up well for the next
stage in my life and career. |
| “Through the good rapport I've had with
the teachers, it has made me more confident in my work. They
are certainly there to help you. You can speak to any member
of staff about work or emotional issues - there is always someone
there for you.” |
