Summer 2026 Exams
External Exams:
GCSE and A Level exams will take place from Thursday 7th May to Thursday 18th June 2026*
Internal Exams:
- Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 exams will take place from Monday 11th May to Friday 15th May 2026. Music lessons will take place outside of this window.
- Year 12 exams will take place Monday 11th May to Thursday 21st May 2026. UCAT exams to take place on Friday 22nd May
Individual timetables to be shared with students.
Results Day:
- A Level Results Day - Thurs 13th August 2026
- GCSE Results Day - Thursday 20th August 2026
*The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) have announced the contingency days for the summer exams series 2026: Wednesday 24th June 2026.
The contingency days for ALL external examinations have been put in place “in the event of widespread, sustained national or local disruption to examination during the June 2026 examination series”. Therefore, in the event of a major disruption, JCQ and/or the relevant Awarding Bodies may decide to postpone an exam to another date in the June 2026 exam series.

Revision & Exam Preparation
Preparing for examinations can be challenging for students. Their teachers will provide support and advice in school to ensure that they revise and prepare as effectively as possible. Similarly, we know that parents and carers will want to support their child at home during this busy period. With this in mind, we have produced a short guide explaining some of the most useful revision strategies for students as well as tips for promoting student wellbeing. We hope that together we will be able to support your child to achieve their best and be proud of the way they approached their exams.
