Y12 Brasenose study day (NJF, 6 students)

This event will take place between 8:30am and 6:30pm on 17/06/2024

You will be aware that your child has secured a place on the Brasenose College Study Day next Monday, 17 th June 2024. To assist with keeping the cost of the event for all involved as low as possible, Camp Hill Boys’ School have kindly allowed us to use one of their school minibuses to transport students to/from the event, and Mr Frost (Subject Leader for Computing across both schools) has kindly offered to drive and escort the students on the day. There will be Year 12 students from both schools attending the event. To cover the cost of fuel and parking we are asking Parents/Carers to pay £10 via Parent Pay by this Friday please. You will be asked to provide medical/contact details on ParentPay as well as give your permission for your child to attend. Mr Frost will be in touch with the students to confirm timings for departure, however we would anticipate leaving school at around 8am-8:15am, to ensure we are in Oxford in plenty of time to get to the College for a 10am start. Return back to school is likely to be around 6pm as the event finishes around 4:15pm. Dr Joe Organ from Brasenose has already shared the reading materials and event programme with the students, but if any of them require another copy of this please ask them to see me. Lunch is provided by the college and there is no dress code for the day. The event will give the students a great insight in to studying at Oxbridge and of course explore their subject options and I am sure they will get a great deal out of it.
