On Saturday, some of our students enjoyed a brilliant day at Solihull School's Shakespeare Festival. Students attended several fascinating lectures from eminent Shakespearean scholars, exploring everything from Shakespeare's role in countries under oppressive regimes, to the emotional power of the Shakespearean 'O', to the representation of women in his plays. The talks sparked thoughtful discussion and plenty of inspiration! We enjoyed a Shakespeareinspired lunch, which helped fuel our brains for the intellectual topics we heard. A huge thank you to Solihull School for hosting, and well done to all our students for representing CHG with curiosity, enthusiasm, and academic excellence. One of our students even brought the perfect stationery for the occasion! @solsch1560

Celebrating 250 Years of Jane Austen Back in December, our students and staff came together in a wholeschool assembly to honour the 250th birthday of the iconic Jane Austen. After stepping into her world of elegance, wit, and unforgettable characters, everyone was challenged to create a present Jane Austen herself would adore, inspired by her novels and brought to life through their own creativity. And just look at what they've produced! A beautiful collection of imagination, artistry, and Austeninspired brilliance. Swipe through to see that Austenmania is alive and well at CHG.
